Surrender

We are still covering the topic "Character of God" this week and it has been incredible. We've been learning about who God is and that characteristics we get from Him. I'm just going to highlight some points that we covered. They aren't in any particular order.

• The most important thing about truth is application of truth.
• I don't just want to know. I want to encounter Him.
• Dads primarily give identity to their kids.
• Be free from sin. It distorts our image of God. It destroys (Matt 5:18)
• God's value is infinitely worth more than ANYTHING.
• If we keep on sinning, there are areas of our lives that don't know God and need to be convicted.
• Perfect love=Perfect unity (look at your marriages)
• Holiness is like fire. Fire is captivating. Fire purifies.
• God cannot be messed with. (Lev 10:1-3)
• Sin is like an infection. It will kill you. Let God take it out. It will hurt.
• Why was Jesus so attractive to sinners? Because He is sinless.
• Take the hard road. Where's the easy road gonna get you??? NO WHERE!!!
• Mercy triumphs over judgement. God is ready to bring mercy. Just ask. (James 2:12) He would rather show mercy.
• Whenever we see God's anger, look and see how long He waited patiently for them to repent.
• In Exodus 34, God describes Himself as gracious, compassionate and slow to anger
• God calls all of us. He longs for us. We just need to respond. (Romans 8:28-)

SURRENDER!
